It is with distinct pleasure that I invite you to the 2016 Congress of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology on November 24-26, 2016 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Pasay City.
This year’s theme of “Building Links and Bridging Gaps” is in keeping with the trend of globalization of ophthalmic education. With the rapid development in the field of Ophthalmology, it is important to keep abreast on the latest, in terms of diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. Bridging gaps between research and clinical practice as well as government regulations and policies is essential in furthering progress in medicine. Moreover, strengthening our connections to both local and international organizations will promote further cooperation and collaboration.
The comprehensive scientific program promises to be both exciting and informative as it highlights cutting edge technology in the management of eye diseases. Moreover, our subspecialty societies have prepared instructional courses and symposia featuring updates on various clinical entities. This year, we will also have surgical video presentations in 3D. The young ophthalmologists’ session shall include interesting topics that will be practical in the practice of our younger colleagues.
This 2016 Congress is a valuable opportunity for all of us to learn from each other, come together and reaffirm our collective goal to further our understanding of Ophthalmology.
I look forward in welcoming you this November.
